Concrete Stains
Both water and acid based stains can be applied to existing concrete to update your sidewalk, driveway, pool deck, patio, or garage space.
Stained concrete offers deeper, translucent tones that are difficult to achieve with paints and color coatings. We offer a variety of colors to suit your design.
Is there a difference between water-based and acid-based stains?
Short answer is yes, the type of stain used depends on the effect you want to achieve. Acid-Based stains use metallic salts dissolved into an acid solution. These minerals react with the concrete to give it a translucent color with dynamic marbling effects. Water-Based stains do not react with the concrete, instead they fill the pores, giving the color a more consistent bright finish.
Both can be applied for exterior and interior work, but the real value is in our experience and knowledge to choose the best product to use for your project.
